MacGruber! (Week 9)
One of my all time favorite movies is definitely Macgruber! I remember the
first time I saw it was when my brother, Nate, finally came home for good. We
had kind of a movie marathon night with just the two of us. The whole evening
we watched all different kinds of movies, from Horror to Comedy to Drama.
Macgruber manages to make me laugh harder than almost any other movie I've ever
seen. I just love some of the quotes that are in this movie. Some including: “I
peed my pants…. I peed ‘em..” (Vicki St. Elmo), “Let’s go pound some Cunth”
(MacGruber), and, “Shut your butt!” (MacGruber).

To Emma (Week 8)
Dear Emma,
If you are reading this, you are old enough to understand some things that may be beginning to seem confusing. As you know, I am no longer apart of your life, but I have left some very important items behind, that could contribute to your future. If your dad is not reading this with you, that means he too has passed away, and all of our inheritance is to be left to you. You may not know much about me, but I want you to look at me as a true mother, who gave my whole heart for you to be happy.
When you were first born, there were some complications with the delivery, and I developed a life-threatening disease that wouldn't allow me to watch my beautiful baby girl turn into a successful young woman. The day of your birth, I was given 2 weeks left to live. I spent every waking moment clutching you in my arms, hoping even the slightest bit of my memory might rub off on you.
For words of encouragement; you're going to hear the same things over and over by adults throughout your entire life: Never give up, Set goals and work to achieve them, and dream big. I want to tell you that... Not everything goes as planned. You may set goals or have dreams that you'll never succeed at. That is all a part of life sweetheart. What I want you to remember is- there's always a light at the end of the tunnel, even when it feels like things could never get better... Keep walking until you find your treasure, your shoulder to lean on that will carry you through.
Your Loving Mother,
Haley <3

Sleepover from H*** (Week 7)
My scariest (scary scary) event is a very easy story to describe.
One night, a friend of mine had a sleepover, with a bunch of girls. Unfortunately, next door to her lived a "predator/pedophile", although he had never really made any physical threats until that night. She had a camper in her backyard, where we decided to camp out. It was an average sleepover, with snacks, stories, and truth-or-dare. We dared one girl to look out of the back window in the camper, and she noticed something suspicious. There was a man watching us from the yard next door. We zipped up the window, and locked the door. As we were cowering in the corner of the camper, We felt the side we were sitting on move. It slowly lifted up, and dropped with extreme force. The poles that held that end up, bent, and caused us to collapse. One by one, we began falling out of the side, and tried to scramble back to the top, where he couldn't touch us.
When we got back inside, Sara's mom noticed large fingerprints on another girl's back, where the man tried to grab her as she rolled out of the camper. This was definitely the scariest moment I have experienced.
